How can I choose good place to part-time job?

Hi,

I want to do brief part-time job.
Can you suggest some tips to get part-time jobs? such as, avoiding being vicious employer.
As, I don't know British cultures much because I am a international student.

I did a lot of P/T jobs while at university. Working in a bingo hall, a bar at a dog racing track and a bar in a miner's social club. The last was the worst because I couldn't understand what the Scottish miners were saying and i got fired. The bingo hall one was best. If possible I'd suggest getting a job that isn't bar work or restaurant as they will be the most hard work. The Labour party are raising the minimum wage again soon, so you will make a lot of money but there might be fewer jobs as companies can't afford to pay people.
